Normal service resumed as Rob and Kev piled on the points at Willow Marsh on Sunday.  As soon as the pegs were drawn, almost everyone had Rob down for the win as he drew the end peg and had one of the islands in front of him,  everyone except Kev and Jack probably. The end result means that Rob extended his lead over Kev at the top of the leader board to three points, he’s now got 102 points.  Jack was third in the frame with 35-06. Simon had three double figure carp to finish in fourth and probably would have framed if he’d landed another ‘lump’ out of the margins.

Match 4 – Coppice Lane 22/05/2016

Bridge Pool

12 Fished

Rob McKee came close to a hat-trick of wins (20-08), but Kev beat him into second place with (21-00) at Coppice Lane on Sunday.  Victory didn’t come easy for Kev though as I understand he broke his No 7 section of his pole on one fish, which meant that he had to revert to fishing the feeder.   This means that Kev closes the gap at the top of the leader board to two points.  Simon was third in the frame with 16-04. This was our lowest attended match this season with only 12 anglers fishing, meaning more points were available for the lower placed anglers like me and Trev.

Match 3 – Cob House 08/05/2016

Laugherne Island

19 Fished

That’s not Rob, he’s busy catching fish behind the tree.

Rob McKee won his second match in a row at Cob House on Sunday.  Rob took advantage of the island feature with method feeder to weigh-in 116-02. This win catapults him to the top of the leader board (no pun intended).  An impressive display in the peg next to Rob as well from Mickey Meah with 65-00, that practising came in useful, closely followed by Kev Lees with 63-10 at the opposite end of the pool.  There were lots of big fish caught and lost on the day, what’s the biggest fish so far this season Trev?  Read more of this post

Match 1 – Coppice Lane 10/04/2016

Bridge Pool

17 Fished

As the fishing wasn’t much to talk about, an interesting topic of conversation was what everyone had bought for the start of the new season. A lot of new seat boxes were on display, Preston and Maver were well represented. As it was the first match it was quite funny to watch everyone putting their gear together on trollies back to front or not fitting properly. Probably the last to turn up were Brian and Jack.  Jack paraded his new seat box and then Brian towed out his new trolley.  Read more of this post
