PolePushers AC Match Report – Season Opener at Monkhall Fishery
The first match of the season and what a start it was! We were treated to near-perfect weather conditions, setting the stage for a fantastic day of fishing at Monkhall Fishery on the Buzzard Pool.
A huge thank you to all our members for attending—we had a full turnout, which is a testament to both the commitment of our anglers and the quality of this excellent venue. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and it was clear that everyone was eager to get the season underway.
The fishing did not disappoint, with plenty of great catches recorded throughout the match. The fish were feeding well, and competitors reported a mix of carp, barbel, and silvers coming to the net.
A special mention to our top three anglers on the day:
🥇 Mark Harris – 135 lbs 12oz
🥈 Dan Podmore – 113 lbs 6oz including a carp weighing 15 lbs
🥉 Paul Jinks – 61 lbs
Well done to all competitors for making it such an enjoyable and competitive event. It’s safe to say that the season has started with a bang, and we look forward to seeing how things unfold in the coming matches.
