Moorhen Pool
13 Fished

When can we expect an improvement in the weather? Today was truly abysmal, thanks to the relentless storm Kathleen. The driving rain and fierce winds made conditions unbearable for any outdoor activity. Particularly, parts of the Moorhen pool bore the brunt of the storm’s fury, making it nearly impossible to fish with a pole, especially towards the windward side.
Even attempting to fish using the bomb or pellet feeder resulted in frustration, as the gusts were strong enough to knock the rod off the rest, causing missed bites. Here’s hoping for calmer days ahead!
Mark Harris maintains his flawless record with a second consecutive win, boasting an impressive haul of 55lb 12oz from peg 12 (not fishery peg numbers). Barry made a stellar return for his first match of the season, securing second place with a commendable 34lb 2oz. Close on his heels, Mark clinched third place with a weight just 2oz shy of Barry’s, totalling 34lb. Congratulations to all participants on a competitive outing!
