Match 16 – Aston Eyre 29/10/2016

Quarry Pool

12 Fished

All members text Trev with your votes for Sports person of the year and Most Improved angler of the year as soon as possible.

Everybody who has trophies please return them as soon as possible.  This will allow time for the trophies to be engraved before the presentation night, which will be held at the Unicorn, Little Dawley on Friday 18th, November starting at 19:30.  Please feel free to donate prizes for the raffle.

No Golden peg was drawn at this match.

There were plenty of double figure carp caught at Aston Eyre, during the match there were a possible 4 lumps vying to beat the 15-04 largest fish that was currently winning with 3 anglers sharing the spoils.  Well finally, to save a fish off in the pub car park Guy Jones landed a 16-0-0 lump to take that title for this year.

We’re not fishing here ever!

The Telford Journal strikes again, just to reassure you all this is not a match fixture change, and who came second in our last match?

Club Rules Additions

For the attention of all club members, following the decisions voted FOR at the AGM earlier this year, two rule additions have been made to the Club rules.  Brian you might have to add these to your personal rule book we hear so much about.

Important Reminder!

Trev has asked me to remind all members that they MUST let a committee member know if they are not able to fish a match (see rule 19 & 20).  Otherwise you will still have to pay your peg fees for the matches missed.  It also allows us to invite guests to fish and make up the numbers, and offset the costs.

Congratulations to the whole club for another great season of fishing, banter and friendships. Thanks once again and will see you soon.

Earlier draw time requested.

Aston Eyre, Sat 26th July, Simon Harris has asked if we can have the draw time one hour earlier at 11 AM because he has got to be some where early that evening.  We would like to have some response to this from all members a.s.a.p. please ?

Vineyard – Saturday 12th July

A quick question for all members on Saturday 12th July, we are at Vineyard, I have been asked if we can have the draw at 11:30am instead of 12:00pm because Kev and Allan have got to get away early. I welcome your responses lads.  Thanks, Trev.

No butty van

Trev has informed me that the butty van will not be open at Astwood on Sunday, so please find alternative catering on the way.
Has anyone got anymore information about Astwood especially Bluebell pool? Baits, rules, limits any info would be appreciated.
