New Club Wear

POLEPUSHERS AC50For the first time in our short history we have received delivery of our new club polo shirts and fleeces.  Some have already been distributed to members at our first match, each one is customised for each angler and feature our new club logo.

Mickey would like to express his thanks on behalf of the club to Mark of MPH Clothing saying Mark was absolutely brilliant, and such a pleasure to be involved with, the quality of the shirts and fleeces is very good, and the embroidery of our club logo is brilliant.  If anyone reading this is sourcing customised sport / work wear then you can contact Mark on 01952 355 674 or visit the MPH website.

In the Spotlight, Barry Podmore

Baz nets another!

This time the Spotlight falls on probably our most travelled angler, soon to arrive back from the Far East just in time for the start of the season. 我不得不翻譯他的答案,所以我們可以理解他,他已經離開這個國家這麼久了。我會有#71雞蛋炒飯和白菜當然隊友! Read more of this post

In the Spotlight, Mickey Meah.

Mickey Meah is our club chairman, so when I thought about doing an angler interview feature, where better to start than with the man himself.

PP: So, when did it all start, when did you start fishing?
MM: I started fishing when I was 12 years old.

PP: And can you recall the first fish that you caught?
MM: Yes, it was a small perch at earls wood lakes.

PP: What was your favourite ever match, and why?
MM: That was when I was 17. I made my first trip to Ireland (Virginia co Cavan) a rod, a basket and a tub of worms. 62 anglers entered the contest on the river black water. I was fortunate to win my first ever contest with 65 pound of bream.
