🎣 Match 5 Report – Boldings Fishery (Willows Pool)
The fifth match brought the club to Boldings – Willows Pool, where anglers faced overcast conditions throughout most of the match, with the sun only burning through in the final hour.
Unfortunately, the carp were still more focused on spawning than feeding — seen cruising and pairing up near the surface — which led to another slow day on the bank. Despite this, a few managed to find feeding fish and make it count:
🥇 Mark Harris (Peg 8) – 24 lb 8 oz
🥈 Martin McHugh (Peg 10) – 20 lb 0 oz
🥉 Dan Podmore (Peg 4) – 17 lb 12 oz
Tough conditions once again, but well done to the framers! Special mention to Dan Podmore for back-to-back framing performances 👏
